ELECTRONIC TREE-HEIGHT MEASURING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To measure a tree height in a short time and precisely by a simple operation by means of a small anti lightweight tree-height measuring apparatus. CONSTITUTION:An electronic tree-height measuring apparatus 54 which is composed of a TV camera 51 mounted on a tripod 55, of a TV monitor and of a controller and a measuring rod 57 whose height is known are user. The measuring rod 57 is put up at the root of a tree 56 to be measured, the whole image of the tree 56 and the measuring roll 57 are displayed on the screen of the TV monitor, a tree height H is operated by using the length of the measuring rod as a reference on the basis of the proportional relationship between a tree height on the screen and the height of the measuring rod, and a numerical value is displayed. Since data on the tree height together with ID information on the tree to be measured can be stored by a floppy disk or an external input means, it is expected that an process in office after the measurement of the tree height is made efficient.
