description | PURPOSE:To connect a distant terminal equipment with a cable to be connected to the equipment as well without increasing the number of these cables even when the number of terminal equipments is increased. CONSTITUTION:A multiplexing part 17 demultiplexes multiplex data inputted from a high-speed line interface part 18, makes the data into serial data while adding an address for each destination terminal interface and sends these data onto a multiplex bus 7-A. When the data on the multiplex bus 7-A are addressed to a terminal interface 8 itself, the terminal interface 8 sends these data to a terminal equipment 2. After the address of the terminal interface 8 itself is added to the data inputted from the terminal equipment 2, the terminal interface 8 sends those data onto a multiplex bus 7-B. The multiplexing part 1 7 receives the data on the multiplex bus 7-B, performs the time division multiplexing of them for each terminal interface based on that address and sends these data from the high-speed line interface part 18 onto a high-speed digital line 6. Two multiplex buses are enough regardless of the number of terminal equipments 2, and the distant terminal equipments can be connected to these buses as well. |
