The encoder shaft 20a protrudes toward the side of a shaft 1 of an electric motor and is connected to the shaft 1 at this part. A hole which is larger than the encoder shaft 20a is formed at the shaft center part of an encoder cover 20e and an end cap 20j is press-fitted, thus clamping and fixing a rotary encoder 20 which is a single-substance product with one function to an end bracket 6 of the electric motor with a screw 20k.
