DEVICE FOR MEASURING OUTSIDE DIAMETER OF SEAM WELDED PIPE OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To provide a device for measuring an outside diameter of a seam welded pipe or the like which is set in a production process of the seam welded pipe, whose finished outside diameter can be automatically, quickly and surely measured and inspected. CONSTITUTION:A pair of movable frames 2 are spacedly and adjustably disposed on both sides on a pedestal 1, and a measuring member 8 having a measuring roll 13 on each edge part on each movable frame 2 are movably and opposedly arranged. Each measuring member 8 is energized in the opposed direction through each energization member, on one hand measuring member 8 a detection bar 16 of required length is movably and adjustably attached along the direction of a feed mechanism 3, and on the other hand measuring member 8 a detection sensor 22 for detecting a detection plate 19 fixed on the edge part of the detection bar 16 is mounted. And the device is set in a production process of a seam welded pipe, a measuring roll 13 is brought into contact with a finished outer circumferential face of a seam welded pipe 23 in a sandwiched state by energization of an energizing member, fluctuated and actuated, the detection plate 19 for fluctuating through the measuring member 8 and the detection bar 16 is detected with the detection sensor 22 and the finished outside diameter of the seam welded pipe 23 is measured.
