Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To control water in a refrigerating plant so as to satisfactorily deal with a new refrigerant. CONSTITUTION:In a freezing apparatus including a refrigerant circuit A where there are successively connected through refrigerant piping, a compressor 1, a condenser 2, a refrigerant drying mechanism 3, a pressure reducing mechanism 4, and an evporator 5, there are provided a high pressure liquid bypass passage 7 and a low pressure bypass passage 8 which are branched from a high pressure liquid line A1 and a low pressure liquid line A2 in the refrigerant circuit A, respectively, and are returned to the high pressure liquid line A1 and the low pressure line A2, respectively. A heat exchange portion 9 is additionally provided in which the high pressure liquid bypass passage 7 and the low pressure bypass passage 8 are heat exchangeable, and a moisture indicator 10 is provided at the heat exchange portion in the high pressure liquid bypass passage 7 or on the downstream side of the heat exchange portion 9, for detecting water in the refrigerant.
