description PURPOSE:To prevent returning by itself to an original closed condition of a single-swung arc-suppressing part by inserting a stopper into a through hole installed in a U-shaped fitting and pressing it through a stopping hole installed in a fixture. CONSTITUTION:When an arc-suppressed part 5 is single-swung, a stopper 12 and a fixture are slidingly moved. When the arc-suppressing part 5 is single- swung to a specified position, the stopper 12 reaches the edge of the fixture 6. The stopper 12 is freely moved to the left by the pressing force of a spring 14 to fit into a cylinder 16, and the stopper 12 acts to the arc-suppressing part 5. When a handle 13 is drawn to the right for unfastening the stopper 12, the stopper slides to the right to return to the original position. By mounting the spring 14 and the handle 13, the opening/closing job of the arc-suppressing part 5 is made easy. In this direct current breaker, while the stopper 12 is passed through the stopping hole, the single-swung arc-suppressing part 5 is not returned by itself to the original closed condition. Only by drawing out the stopper 12, the arc-suppressing part 5 is closed.
