Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a cold volatile mothproofing agent capable of stably exhibiting a strong mothproofing effect over a long period and free from a bad effect such as odor accompanying its application. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of dimethyl oxalate and 4-methyl-4-hepten-1-yn-3-yl-d- cis, trans-chrysanthemate (the same substance as empenthrin) is used as the main component. In this mothproofing agent, an almost perfect mothproofing effect can be expected over the whole period of service and it can be used in an almost odorless state. In addition, the end point of the mothproofing effect is clear and this mothproofing agent can be used without a bad effect. There is provided one aspect of utilization of empenthrin which is a liquid chemical and the amount of empenthrin required for improving the mothproofing effect can be reduced. Consequently, this product can be more economically produced.
