CONSTITUTION:For example, as a sintered hard alloy chip, a powder mixture consisting of 6%Co alloy (density (rho)=14.9g/cc) and of 2.5mum grain size is press- compacted into the illustrated shape. After temporary sintering, a groove in a metallic base plate is covered with the resulting green compacts, into which a molten metal is poured. By using this porous sintered hard chip 1, a casting is infiltrated into the pores in the chip 1 at the time of casting and the metallic base plate and the sintered hard alloy themselves are allowed to adhere to each other and formed into a sintered compact. Further, because the chips 1 can be prevented from moving at the time of casting and the groove is uniformly covered wit the chips 1, properties ca be stabilized.
