SOLID-STATE IMAGE SENSOR

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of false signal caused by incident light that enters the part between a package and a solid-state image sensor in an oblique direction from the above. CONSTITUTION:A non-light-transmissible member 6 made of the material by which light cannot be transmitted is filled between side walls 2a and a solid- state image sensor 2. Thus, the side walls 2a of the solid-state image sensor 2 are covered with the non-light-transmissible member 6. Therefore, incident light 5 that enters a part between a package 1 and the sensor 2 in an oblique direction from the above is shielded by the member 6, so that it cannot reach the side wall 2a of the sensor 2 and enter the inside of the sensor 2, resulting in generating no false signal due to the incident light 5.
