description PURPOSE:To provide a litz wire having an excellent characteristic by evenly dividing segments formed out of respective strand bundles radially from the center into six sections in the sectional shape of the litz wire collectively twisted with six strand bundles together, preventing a cavity from occurring in the central part between each segment, and heightening peripheral circularity of the sectional shape of the litz wire. CONSTITUTION:Liquid paint 22 consisting of a thermosetting polyurethane - elastomer material is applied on the surface parts of six strand bundles 7 for being infiltrated. Next, the respective strand bundles 7 having a sectionally round shape are formed into a sector shape of a central angle 60 deg.. At the same time, the liquid paint 22 is solidified by heating. Next, the strand bundles 7 are twisted together and a teflon thread 8 is spirally wound to the twisted strand bundles 7. In a finished litz wire 6, a respective strand bundles 7 are densely combined while forming a sectional round shape as a whole.
