Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a new derivative useful for the control of various harmful insects, especially leafhoppers, planthoppers, aphid, etc. CONSTITUTION:The derivative of formula I (X1 is H or a halogen; X is a 3C or more branched alkyl, 3C or more branched alkoxy, etc.; Y is an alkyl; Z is N or methine), e.g. 1-[O-isopropyl-3-(3,3-dimethylbutoxy) benzohydroximoyl]-1 H-1,2,4-triazole. The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of the formula Y-A (A is a halogen or p-toluenesulfonyl) in the presence of a base (e.g. sodium hydroxide) in water or an inert organic solvent preferably at 40-100 deg.C for 1-6hr.
