CONSTITUTION:An aryl compound (preferably chlorobenzene, etc.) is made to react with a dihalosilane (preferably dichlorosilen) in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst (preferably boron brichloride, etc.) preferably at 130-300 deg.C. The objective compound can be separated from the reaction product by distilling the product preferably at 50-300 deg.C under atmospheric pressure -10Torr in the presence of the Lewis base compound having acid-base interaction with metallic atom in the above Lewis acid catalyst and having N atom, P atom and/or S atom (preferably a P-containing compound such as methylphosphine).
