description PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a surface cracking by using two sets of molten steel immersion type nozzle per one set of mold at the time of pouring the same kind of molten steel and pouring the molten steel in the different condition of the immersion depth into the molten steel between the one side of nozzle and the other side of nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel is poured into the mold of fixing or shifting type continuous casting from a vessel 1 for containing the molten steel 2. The same kind of molten steel is poured by using two sets of molten steel immersion type nozzle 3, 4 per one set of mold in the different condition of the immersion depth into the molten steel between the one side of nozzle and the other side of nozzle at >=50mm. Further, the ratio of the cross sectional areas for passing discharged stream in both nozzles is desirably >=1.2. By this method, i.e., by sharing the function of each nozzle, as each nozzle can independently be controlled so as to impart the stability of shell in the continuous cast material and the suitable fluid of molten steel in a mold, the occurrence of the surface cracking is prevented.
