PRINTER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve the use efficiency of the printer device, constituted so that plural external devices can share it, by effectively utilizing a reception wait time. CONSTITUTION:This printer device 1 has plural ports 11-13 for receiving print data and can be shared by the external data processors A, B, and C; and when a reception wait state wherein the input of print data to the current port 11 as a port in receiving operation is expected is entered, the ports 12 and 13 are put in a receivable state and when the ports 12 receives print data thereafter, the print data that the port 12 receives are stored in a buffer. Further, when the current port 11 receives the print data again, the reception by the port 12 is interrupted and then the reception of the current port 11 is restarted.
