ELECTROMAGNETIC COUPLING

PURPOSE:To provide an electromagnetic coupling which is easy of change of torque and revolution, and can drive a rotor large in inertia or rotor requiring speed change, and can conform torque property to desired property, and can be made use of as a torque limiter. CONSTITUTION:For an electromagnetic coupling, a stator 11, which has a DC coil 15, is provided inside a body casing 1, and further inside of it, an inductor 21, where comb-shaped magnetic substances 25 and 26 are combined, is attached to an input shaft 6, and further inside of it, a rotor 31, which has a squired-cage- shaped conductor 37, is attached to an output shaft 8. And, torque is transmitted to a rotor 31 by the electromagnetic induction by the rotation of the inductor 21.
