description PURPOSE:To provide a pressure sensitive copying paper which has a sufficient optical reading property in the near infrared region, and also is excellent in light resistance by a method wherein as an electron donative coloring agent which color-reacts with an electron acceptable developer, a plurality of compounds which are respectively represented by specified general formulas are used while being combined. CONSTITUTION:For the pressure sensitive copying paper, the coloring reaction between an electron donative coloring agent and an electron acceptable developer. In this case, as the electronic donative coloring agent, compounds shown are respectively represented by separately listed general formulas are used while being combined. In those formulas, R1-R8 respectively represent a low aliphatic alkyl group such as methyl, etc., low aliphatic haloalkyl group such as chloromethyl, etc., benzil group, substituted benzil group, phenyl group, and substituted phenyl group. Also, X-Z respectively represent hydrogen atom, low aliphatic alkyl group such as methyl, etc., low aliphatic alkoxy group such as methoxy, etc., and others. In addition, (n) is 1-2. Than, the carbon atom and carbonyl carbon atom at the center are combined with the adjacent carbon atom on a pyridine nucleus.
