description PURPOSE:To materialize an organic solar battery which has high photo-electric conversion ratio by making a charge generating pigment the compound shown by a specified general formula. CONSTITUTION:The composition of a disazo compound, which is used as a charge generating pigment and shown by the formula I, is performed as follows. 7.09g of diamine compound shown by the formula II is added to 10% hydrochloric acid, and the temperature of liquid is kept at -1 deg.C. Next, substance where 3.54g of sodium nitrite is dissolved in water is dropped and cooled and let alone. Crystals being made by adding 42% hydrogen borofluoride to it are filtrated, and are cleaned with ethanol, and are dried, and 1.01g of tetrazonium fluoroborate and 1.06g of couplers expressed by formula III are dissolved in N, N-dimethyl formamide, and substance where 0.35g of sodium acetate is dissolved in water is dropped to this. The produced precipitate is filtrated, and it is cleaned with N, N-dimethyl formamide. After cleaning in water, it is dried under decompression so as to get 1.34g of disazo pigment (yield 78.2%).
