description PURPOSE:To obtain the titled alloy having superior wear resistance and high compression strength with a convenient handling, by using powder mixture of graphite and Mo, mixing material powder with binder and using them, at sintering copper system material powder contg. Ni, Sn, P and graphite. CONSTITUTION:To copper alloy powder contg. Ni, Sn and P, lubricating powder in which Mo powder having a small grain size is dispersedly adhered to surface of graphite powder having a large grain size is added to obtain material powder. Next, the material powder and synthetic resin binder are mixed, the mixture is heated to thermally decompose the binder in mixture and the material powder is sintered. By this method, since content of graphite can be decreased, the obstruction of sintering is mitigated, density, compression strength and toughness of sintered copper alloy can be improved. Since material powder is mixed with synthetic resin binder and used, handling of material powder is improved.
