METHOD FOR INDICATING BEGINNING OF SINGING WITH KARAOKE

PURPOSE:To indicate a timing when a song begins to be sung with no prelude or a short prelude and the interval without any sense of incongruity by providing a musical performance information adding means which adds musical performance information to digital musical performance information so that a starting tone is pronounced plural times at specific intervals before the melody is played. CONSTITUTION:At a request for an KARAOKE performance from an operation part 102, a control part 101 reads MIDI KARAOKE data on requested music out of a storage part 106 and starts musical performance control. Under the musical performance control, an LD player 14 is controlled first and video reproduction is started. At the same time, MIDI music data are transferred to a MIDI sound source 103 and output control over the performance music is performed. The control part 101 serves as a music deciding means and a performance information adding means before the performance control is started to decides whether there is the prelude of the performance music and its length when so from the MIDI KARAOKE data, and adds the performance information indicating the beginning of singing in case of no prelude or a short prelude.
