JIG FOR TENSILE TEST OF ROD-SHAPED BODY PREPARED BY IMPREGNATING SYNTHETIC FIBER WITH RESIN LIQUID AND HARDENING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To fix simply to a tensile tester a rod-shaped body prepared by impregnating synthetic fiber with a resin liquid and hardening it and to conduct the tensile test simply in a short time. CONSTITUTION:In regard to a tensile test of a rod-shaped body 1 prepared by impregnating synthetic fiber with a resin liquid and hardening it, wherein the opposite ends of the rod-shaped body are fixed to a tensile tester by a chuck-type jig 2 and one end thereof is pulled, a pawl 3 of the chuck-type jig is formed of copper or aluminum. The surface of the pawl is deformed in a shape corresponding to the shape of the surface of the rod-shaped body 1 and can fix it resistively to a tensile force applied to the rod-shaped body 1. Thereby the rod-shaped body 1 cut in a prescribed length can be fixed without being machined specially and thus the tensile test can be conducted in a short time.
