description PURPOSE:To obtain output images which are regularly arrayed in the same size by processing the disordered graphic positions and the hard-to-see images having different graphic sizes which are substantially not deseirable. CONSTITUTION:An original reader 1 reads optically an original and stores the image data in a memory after converting the image data into the binary data. An image deciding part 2 dicides whether the stored image data are identical with the character data or the graphic image data. A vector transform part 3 reads out the image data that are decided as the graphic images and extracts the graphic image data to transform this data into the vector data. A graphic recognizing part 4 reads out the vector data to recognize this data as the graphic elements like the straight lines, the circles, etc., and also stores these recognizing results in the memory as the graphic element data. Then a plotting device 5 synthesizes the graphic element data and the character data together and draws the pictures on a recording form.
