MERCHANDISE REMAINDER DETECTING DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC VENDING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To digitally and correctly detect the remainder with simple configuration at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:A switch detecting the size of a charged can diameter is provided at the lower part of a rack 2, a switch detecting the presence of the merchandise is provided at the upper part of the rack 2, and when a merchandise detecting switch is operated from the presence to the absence of the merchandise during the selling of the merchandise and the can diameter is found out, the number of the storing at the time can be specified, and therefore, the remainder can be correctly detected by subtracting automatically the number of selling from the special value each time the merchandise is sold subsequently. The remainder detecting operation is started based on the detection of the closing of the door by a door SW 4 as an output to detect that the merchandise is already replenished and the detection of the lock of a switch interlocking with the key of the door.
