Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To easily obtain a glass contg. dispersed silver and having an antibacterial property, a photochromic mechanism, etc., by hydrolyzing the reaction product of a metal alkoxide and a specified silver coordination compd. and heat-treating the formed gel. CONSTITUTION:(A) A metal alkoxide (e.g. tetramethyl silicate) is allowed to react with a silver coordination compd. coordinated with (B) an alkoxy metal group-contg. compd. (e.g. N-2-aminoethyl-3-amonopropyl)trimethoxysilane) by using an ordinary solvent (e.g. ethanol). The reaction product is then hydrolyzed in the presence of an alkali (e.g. ammonia) or an acid (e.g. acetic acid) to form a gel. The gel is heat-treated at about 250-1000 deg.C to obtain a glass contg. dispersed silver. The glass is appropriately used as an antibacterial glass, a light control glass, a catalyst, etc. |
