The intermediate product gas is fed to a pressure swing adsorption tower packed with a porous adsorbent having organic gas adsorbing properties where a hydrocarbon component is adsorbed while H2 is discharged. The adsorbed hydrocarbon component is desorbed in vacuo to obtain a high-calorie product gas.
