When addition of the number of cylinders requesting the fuel cut is requested, the engine speed is detected 11 at the timepoint when the canceling of the injection of the cylinders where the fuel is cut is confirmed, then, the time t1 till the switching timing of the ignition timing control is set on the basis of the confirmation. Then, the control amount of the ignition timing is switched when the elapsed time from the injection canceling time reaches the value t1.
