Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic disk device with simplified and compact configuration by supporting a voice motor and a VCM with a shaft and a sleeve, and arranging the shaft, the sleeve, an elastic body, and a projection at the side part of the VCM. CONSTITUTION:The shaft 8 is fixed at least at a base 5, and the sleeve 9 is fixed at least at the VCM 3. When reaction is applied to the VCM, the VCM is retreated with the sleeve, and is stopped due to friction or the collision of the projection 13 with the shaft or the sleeve. Seek reaction applied to the VCM can be decreased by providing the elastic body 11 between the projection and the shaft or the sleeve. The seek reaction applied to the shaft 8 can be reduced by coating with a coating material with superior wear resistance and low friction coefficient, and dust due to friction can be reduced, and dispersion of the dust in the magnetic disk device can be prevented by providing a dust- proofing mechanism between the shaft and the sleeve.
