PAGE CHECK POINT PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To shorten a check point processing time by saving a page control table to a saving file at the time of generating a check point and ending check point processing only by copying the contents of an execution area in a copying area. CONSTITUTION:When a check point is generated from a program being executed in the execution area 3, an area with the same size as the execution area 3 is secured in a main storage device as a copying area 4, the contents of the area 3 are copied and the contents of the page control table 2 are saved to the 1st saving file 5. If the program is abnormally ended after generating the check point, the contents are copied from the copying area 4 copied at the preceding check point to the area 3 and restored, the table 2 saved in the file 5 is inputted and restored and then control is returned to a position next to the generation of the immediately preceding check point to restart the execution of the program. Consequently, the check point processing time can be shortened.
