METHOD FOR MOLDING WHEEL FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency for production of the wheel for vehicles by integrally molding a connecting projection on the inner peripheral wall surface of a cylindrical member, then ironing a cylindrical line member in a transverse direction by spinning and forming a wheel rim, then connecting and fixing the connecting projection and disk members. CONSTITUTION:The connecting projection 31 is integrally formed by spinning on the inner peripheral wall surface of the cylindrical member A. The cylindrical member A is then crimped by forming molds 1 and while the molds 1 are kept rotated around the axial center the peripheral wall surface of the cylindrical member A is pressed by a rotary pressing means 2 to form a rim blank material 3 having a U-shaped section. The connecting projection 31 of the rim blank material 3 is crimped by a mandrel device 4 and while the mandrel device 4 is kept rotated around the axial center, the rim blank material 3 is ironed by the rotary pressing means 5. The rim R of the wheel for vehicles is thereby spun. The prepd. disk parts and the connecting projection 31 are thereafter connected and fixed. The similar effect is obtd. even if the connecting projection A is integrally cast at the time of casting the cylindrical member A.
