COLORIMETRIC APPARATUS FOR LIQUID FILM

PURPOSE:To obtain a colorimetric apparatus for a liquid film which enables improvement of the reliability of the result of colorimetry of the liquid film by eliminating the nonuniformity in the result of colorimetry and, as the result, enables quick and accurate execution of a color control of coating or the like, in a method of controlling the color of a coating film by subjecting the liquid film before dry setting to the colorimetry. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus for subjecting a liquid film before dry setting to colorimetry in order to conduct a color control of a coating film material is equipped with a liquid film forming means which is made up of a doctor blade forming the liquid film of a prescribed thickness on the surface of a base material 20 for formation of the liquid film, and others, and with a colorimetric means which is made up of a colorimetric head 40 conducting colorimetry at a position in proximity to the surface of the liquid film and in noncontact with the liquid film, and others. These means are disposed adjacently to each other, while a transfer means which is made up of a slide base 10 for transferring the base material 20 for formation of the liquid film from the liquid film forming means to the colorimetric means, and others, is provided below them. Besides, a positioning means which determines a gap between the measuring surface of the colorimetric means and the surface of the liquid film is attached to this means, and the formation and colorimetry of the liquid film are executed while the base material for formation of the liquid film is held on the transfer means.
