Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain highly transparent ice of by an automatic ice maker which is arranged in a refrigerator and can produce ice automatically. CONSTITUTION:An ice making tray 31 having projections 32 on a bottom surface is piled inside a heat insulating vessel 28 which is opened in an upper surface and arranged with an ice making heater 30 on an inner bottom part. An automatic ice maker is constituted of the ice making tray 31, a driving means 35 to rotate the ice making tray 32, a water supply tank 18 and a water supply pump 33. Water in the ice making tray 31 is cooled and freezed gradually from upward toward downward by heat insulating effect of the heat insulating vessel 28 and heating effect of the ice making heater 30. At this time, gas components are collected in the projections 32 excludingly, whereby water of substantially high transparency can be obtained.
