Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enhance the washability of an insulating part and to prevent an electric leak by certainly preventing the remaining of the resin component in paint on the insulating part. CONSTITUTION:After aqueous paint is supplied to an intermediate storage tank 16 from an earthed color replacing valve mechanism 12, at least an insulating route 18 is washed and dried and electrostatic painting work is performed in such a state that the color replacing valve mechanism 12 and the intermediate storage tank 16 are electrically insulated. After a electrostatic painting cycle is performed by a predetermined number of times, the insulating route 18 is washed with a thinner while a thinner supply valve 26 is driven and the resin component of the paint is certainly dissolved from the inner wall of the insulating route 18 to be discharged.
