CONSTITUTION:Only quadrivalent plutonium is selectively reduced into trivalent plutonium by adding isobutyl aldehyde in organic solvent in which sexivalent uranium and quadrivalent plutonium are dissolved, trivalent plutonium is extracted into water solution and sexivalent uranium and quadrivalent plutonium are separated.
