Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide an external drug for skin containing saikosaponin b1, etc., and a specific surfactant, exhibiting remarkably improved transcutaneous absorption of saikosaponin b1, etc., having excellent safety and feeling to the skin and effective in preventing the delay of the cure of wound and chapped skin, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent can be prepared by compounding (A) saikosaponin b1 (R=beta-OH) and/or saikosaponin b2 (R=alpha-OH) expressed by formula with (B) surfactants such as (a) one or more kinds of anionic surfactants and one or more kinds of surfactants containing N in the molecule and other than anionic surfactant, (b) one or more kinds of anionic surfactants and one or more kinds of nonionic surfactants containing N in the molecule and (c) one or more kinds of amphoteric surfactants and semi-polar surfactants and one or more kinds of nonionic surfactants containing N in the molecule. The drug is effective in preventing the aging of the skin such as wrinkles caused by aging and the skin damage induced by sunlight.
