METHOD FOR FILLING CO2 INTO EXTRACTED OIL DEPOSIT
PURPOSE:To dispose CO2 at low cost in a stable and harmless manner by a forcing CO2 from the ground or sea level through a pipe into an extracted oil deposit on land or sea by means of a pump and putting a plug in the pipe after a predetermined amount of CO2 has been filled into the deposit. CONSTIT...

description | PURPOSE:To dispose CO2 at low cost in a stable and harmless manner by a forcing CO2 from the ground or sea level through a pipe into an extracted oil deposit on land or sea by means of a pump and putting a plug in the pipe after a predetermined amount of CO2 has been filled into the deposit. CONSTITUTION:At first, oil-well pipes 2 are pushed into an extracted oil deposit 1 from the ground or sea level, or existing oil-well pipes for extracting oil or natural gas can be utilized instead. Liquid CO2 is forced for the top of the pipes 2 through the pipes into the deposit 1 by means of pumps 3. Water, oil and natural gas remaining in the deposit 1 are replaced by the liquid CO2 having been forced thereinto, wherein the water, oil and natural gas may be recovered through the pipes 2 from the top of the deposit 1. After a predetermined amount of CO2 has been filled into the deposit, the tops of the pipes 2 are closed with cement, etc. In the case of a submarine oil deposit at a depth of water 500m or more, CO2 can be held under pressure of 50 bar in a liquid state forever. |
