Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To simulate the transmittance of atmosphere in excellent response with a compact, light-weight device in an atmospheric-attenuation simulating apparatus for simulating the atmospheric attenuation of light which is used in the performance test and the like of an image sensing device. CONSTITUTION:Thus apparatus comprises two planar plates 1 and 1 which are arranged in the facing pattern so that the interval can be adjusted and have a high light-transmittance, an adjusting device (actuator 4) for the interval between the planar plates 1 and 1' and low light-transmitting fluid 2 which is filled between the planar plates 1 and 1'. The interval between the planar plates 1 and 1' is adjusted with an adjusting device, and the thickness of the low light-transmitting fluid 2 between the planar plates 1 and 1' in the front and rear directions is adjusted. Thus, the light transmittance is changed.
