DATA CONVERTER

PURPOSE:To convert an asynchronous input data into a synchronous data having a synchronizing word in less delay time and to output the result. CONSTITUTION:The data converter is provided with an input buffer 2 receiving and storing an asynchronous data having a synchronization word, a synchronization word retrieval section 3 retrieving the synchronization word of the entered asynchronous data, a data conversion section 4 converting a format of the asynchronous data into a format of an output data, a synchronization word addition section 5 adding a new synchronization word to the converted output data, an output buffer 6 storing the output data with the new synchronization word added thereto, and a control section 8 having a counter delay circuit 9 delaying the output start timing of the output buffer 6 by a prescribed time than the input start timing of the input buffer 2.
