HERMETICALLY SHIELDED TYPE STORAGE BATTERY AND METHOD FOR TESTING CAPACITY THEREOF

PURPOSE:To measure capacity within a short time by providing a small electrode plate part for testing capacity insulated from a main electrode plate part to at least one anode plate in an electrode plate group and performing discharge only from the small electrode part at the testing time of capacity. CONSTITUTION:An anode plate 1 has a main electrode part 2 and the small electrode plate part 3 for testing capacity insulated from the main electrode plate part by an insulating material 4. The anode plate lug part 5 of the main electrode plate part 2 is connected to the other anode plate lug part in the state incorporated in an electrode plate group by an anode strap and the output terminal of the small electrode plate part 3 is led out to the outside of a battery jar through a lead wire 7. The charge state of the small electrode plate part 3 is proportional to the charge state of the main electrode part 2 and the charge state of the anode plate 1 of the electrode plate group of a storage battery. Therefore, by testing the capacity of the small electrode plate part 3 by discharging only the small electrode plate part 3, the rough capacity of the storage battery can be tested and a required time is short.
