Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound at a low cost by subjecting a silazane to hydrosilylating reaction in the presence of a platinum-based catalyst and a solvent and carrying out the ring opening and hydrolysis of the resultant cyclic silazane. CONSTITUTION:A silazane expressed by formula I [R is alkyl, aryl or aralkyl; X is H or SIH(R )2] is subjected to untramolecular hydrosilylating reaction in the presence of a platinum-based catalyst (e.g. chloroplatinic acid or platinum black) in an amount of 0.0001-0.005 pt.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. silazane at 50-150 deg.C, preferably 100-120 deg.C temperature to provide a cyclic silazane expressed by formula II. The ring opening and hydrolysis of the resultant compound expressed by formula II are then carried out with a 1-5C aliphatic alcohol and water each in an amount of 0.01-500 pts.wt., preferably 0.05-100 pts.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. silazane to afford the objective diaminopropyldisiloxane expressed by formula III.
