Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To correct the deviation by obtaining the center of the tilted tracks of a magnetic tape to find the deviation from the track center and forming the tracking error signals. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic reproducing head runs perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of tilted tracks. The envelopes of the signals read from the tracks by the head are made into specimens, digitized and stored. Then, the stored envelope specimen values are Fourier analyzed. The track center position is obtained by using the time position of the maximum value of the amplitude of the fundamental waves obtained by Fourier analysis.
