PHOTOSENSITIVE RESIN RELIEF PRINTING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To improve resistance to printing ink and cleaning oil and to enable storage over a long period of time by forming a barrier layer on a substrate with an adhesive layer. CONSTITUTION:A photoset barrier layer of 3-100mum thickness is interposed between a substrate with an adhesive layer and a photosensitive resin layer. The barrier layer is a highly cross-linked resin layer and prevents printing ink and ink cleaning oil from infiltrating into the adhesive layer, swelling the layer and causing the falling of a relief from the substrate. The photosensitive resin layer laminated on the barrier layer is very tightly adhered to the unphotoset part of the surface of the barrier layer by imagewise exposure and post-exposure in the conventional photomechanical process. The resulting relief is tightly held by the substrate and the falling of the relief is prevented. A photosensitive resin relief printing material ensuring very satisfactory relief retentivity and having high resistance to printing ink and cleaning oil is obtd.
