PLANT DATA RECORDING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To prevent the unnecessary data from being recorded and retained, and the recording and retaining of important data from being omitted by monitoring the recording state of a retention medium, predicting the time when the retention medium completes recording, and outputting the result outside. CONSTITUTION:A medium controlling file 11 files data of a retention medium from a medium data setting means 9 and the monitoring condition of the retention medium from a recording/retaining condition setting means 10. A data retention means 8 records and retains the data to a retention medium 5 based on the data of the retention medium and tone monitoring condition in the file 11. When the data of the plant is to be preserved in the medium 5, the recording/retaining state of the retention medium is monitored based on the data of the file 11. At the same time, the time when the recording/retaining of the data is completed is predicted. These kinds of data are output to a peripheral device 4. Accordingly, unnecessary data is omitted, and only the necessary data is recorded, thereby achieving efficient retention of data.
