Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can prevent both tool wear and seizure and is suitable for use in cutting particularly with a small-sized lathe by mixing a lube base oil with a chlorine compound additive, a sulfur compound additive, and CaCO3 and/or overbased sulfonate. CONSTITUTION:A lube base oil containing at least one of mineral oil, oil or fat, synthetic lubricating oil, etc., is mixed with at least one chlorine compound additive selected among chlorinated paraffin, fatty oil, and fatty acid, at least one sulfur compound additive selected among sulfurized fatty oil and fatty acid, polysulfide, and powdery sulfur, and CaCO3 and/or overbased sulfonate to give the title composition. This composition can control both tool wear and seizure (galling), satisfying performance requirements difficult to achieve by using conventional cutting oils. It is suitable for use in cutting particularly with a small-sized lathe.
