Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve dispersibility and interfacial strength with a binder and to prevent deterioration of electromagnetic conversion characteristics due to oxidization of the metal magnetic powder by surface treating the metal magnetic powder with a specified fluorine-modified silane coupling agent. CONSTITUTION:The metal magnetic powder is surface treated with a compd. expressed by formula 1. In the formula 1, R is at least one of CH3 and CH5. (n) is integer from 4 to 10. Thereby, by surface treating the metal magnetic powder in a magnetic layer formed on a nonmagnetic supporting body with a fluorine-modified silane coupling agent, the fluorine-modified silane coupling agent adsorbs on the surface of the metal magnetic powder to form a film, which improves surface modification of the powder and improves dispersibility with a binder for higher interface adhesion.
