Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To increase the adsorbed quantity of CO and to obtain a small-sized purifying installation by depositing monovalent or bivalent copper salt on activat ed carbon and thereafter heating it at >=250 deg.C temp. in a monoxidizing atmo sphere or decompression to produce the title adsorbent. CONSTITUTION:In such case that monovalent copper salt is deposited on activated carbon, cuprous halide is dissolved in a single organic solvent or these mixtures and thereafter impregnated into activated carbon and an adsorbent for separating carbon monoxide is produced by removing excess organic solvent and depositing cuporous halide on activated carbon. Separately, in such case that cupric salt is deposited on activated carbon, after dissolving cupric salt in a solvent, it is impregnated into activated carbon and the adsorbent for separating carbon monoxide can be produced by removing the solvent and depositing cupric salt on activated carbon. Cuprous chloride,k cuprous bromide, etc., are used as cuprous halide and also cupric chloride, cupric bromide, etc., are used as cupric halide. |
