FLUORINE-CONTAINING ELASTOMER COMPOSITION CURABLE BY PEROXIDE

PURPOSE:To obtain a composition having steeply improved compression permanent strain without generation of toxic gas at crosslinking by mixing fluorine elastomer containing I and Br, organic peroxide, polyfunctional compound and activated carbon powder. CONSTITUTION:Fluorine-containing elastomer containing iodine and/or bromine in molecule is mixed with organic peroxide, polyfunctional compound and pow dery activated carbon. Furthermore, sulfur-containing compound as additive for rubber may be mixed. 2-8C fluorine-containing olefin is preferable as a main part of said elastomer and iodine and bromine-containing, iodine-containing or bromine-containing olefin in an amount of iodine and/or bromine so as to be 0.01-5 wt.% is copolymerized in polymerization. 100 pts.wt. elastomer is preferably mixed with 0.5-5 pts.wt. organic peroxide, 0.5-10 pts.wt. polyfunctional compound and 5-15 pts.wt. activated carbon.
