Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain a membrane for separating particularly SOx and NOx by using a polyarylene sulfide film for sepn. of gases. CONSTITUTION: The film of polyarylene sulfide, more preferably polyphenylene sulfide, having preferably a thickness larger than 1 μm, more preferably a thickness of 2 to 2,000 μm is used for the purpose of separation of the gases, more particularly the gases contg. the oxides of sulfur or nitrogen. Further preferably, a composite film composed of the polyphenylene sulfide film and other polymer films having a thickness of 2 to 1,500 μm more preferably 5 to 200 μm is used. The thus resulted film has high selectivity and high dimensional stability under heat.
