FACSIMILE EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To reduce the opportunity of undesired facsimile reception providing a registration means registering an opposite party allowing the reception and a changeover control means applying changeover control of a reception permission state and a reception inhibit state based on identification information at a sender side and registration information of the said registration means after the arrival of a call. CONSTITUTION:A decode section 17 adds sender side identification information such as facsimile number or password and identification information (complement) registered in a registration section 18 as an opposite party whose reception is allowed just after the arrival of a call to a reception section 13. When there is no combination of all bits '1's in the addition processing by the decode section 17, it means that the relevant sender side is not registered and the communication is regarded as facsimile communication due to prank or in error. In this case, a switching control section 16 controls the reception section 13 to set the mode to the reception inhibit mode to facsimile transmission from the sender side. In this state, the picture transmission by facsimile communication is disabled and no recording paper is discharged from a print section 15.
