METHOD FOR COATING DRUM AND FLOW REGULATING MEANS OF COATING LIQUID TO BE USED FOR EXECUTION OF THIS METHOD

PURPOSE:To uniformize the application of a coating liquid on the outer peripheral surface of a drum by supplying the coating liquid in such a manner that the coating liquid swivels from below to above along the peripheral surface of the drum immersed in a tank. CONSTITUTION:The drum 10 consisting of anodized aluminum, etc., is immersed vertically into the coating liquid housed in the cylindrical tank 21 and the coating liquid is supplied into the tank 21. While the liquid is made to flow over the tank, the drum 10 is pulled up to coat the outer peripheral surface of the drum 10 with the coating liquid. The coating liquid is so supplied from a supply pipe 31 disposed on the side surface at the bottom end of the tank 21 as to swivel from below to above along the peripheral surface of the drum 10 kept immersed in the tank 21. The drum 10 is pulled up while the liquid is allowed to flow over the tank. An equally preferable method is to dispose the flow regulating means 40 into the tank 22 and to supply the coating liquid from the underside thereof.
