Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a window and a partition themselves with a dimming function by controlling the quantity of transmission of light by using a liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal is supplied with a constant AC voltage to enter a mode wherein light is transmitted, and enters an opaque or translucent state as shown by slanting broken lines when the AC voltage is ceased. Thus, window glass itself is given the dimming function which controls the passage of light to eliminate the need to provide a blind or curtain in a room, the operability and a shield function are made convenient, and the space in the room can be utilized substantially widely.
