CONSTITUTION:In pressure-sensitive copy paper having a layer containing a coupler and a pigment, a cationic substance having a quaternary ammonium group or a tertiary amino group is added to the coupler-containing layer in an amount of 1 - 50wt.%, more pref., 5 - 20wt.% per the total wt. of the coupler and the pigment. When the content of the cationic substance is below 1wt.% or less, the enhancing effect of ink jet recording density is not obtained and, when said content exceeds 50wt.%, the lowering of color forming capacity at the time of pressure-sensitive copy is generated. In the coupler, an org. coupler has a strong point having high color forming capacity, imparting a developed color image excellent in light fastness and generating no lowering of the recording density of the developed color image due to the adhesion of moisture of usual file preservation as compared with an inorg. coupler.
